Linus Biotechnology Inc. (“Linus Biotechnology,” “we,” “our,” and/or “us”) values the privacy of individuals who use our websites available at www.LinusBio.com , www.ClearStrandASD.com , and www.Traced.life (our “Websites”) and our related services (collectively, our “Services”). This privacy policy (the “Privacy Policy”) explains how we collect, use, and disclose information from visitors of our Websites (“Website Visitors”), minors (“Minors”) who are administered the ClearStrand™ ASD or Traced™ lab test (each a “Test”) and their caregivers (“Caregivers”), non-minor adults (each a “Person”) who are administered the Traced™ test, and health care providers who provide or would like to provide the ClearStrand-ASD lab test (“Health Care Providers”).
By using our Services, you agree to the collection, use, disclosure, and procedures this Privacy Policy describes. Beyond the Privacy Policy, your use of our Services is also subject to our Terms of Service.
Please note that if we provide any part of our Services to you on behalf of a third-party partner (such as your employer if you are a Health Care Provider or your Health Care Provider if you are a Minor or Caregiver) who has paid (in whole or in part) for you to use the Services, we will abide by the terms of our agreement with that third-party partner related to the collection, use, and disclosure of your information related to such Services. This Privacy Policy does not apply to our processing of your data on behalf of those partners.
Information We Collect
We may collect a variety of information from or about you or your devices from various sources, as described below.
A. Information You Provide to Us.
Communications. If you are a Website Visitor and contact us directly, we may receive additional information about you, such as your name, email address, phone number, company name, your reason for contacting us, the contents of a message or attachments that you may send to us, and other information you choose to provide. If you subscribe to our newsletter, then we will collect certain information from you, such as your email address. When we send you emails, we may track whether you open them to learn how to deliver a better customer experience and improve our Services.
ClearStrand™ASD Caregiver Confirmation & Consent. If you are a Caregiver and we receive an order for the ClearStrand™ ASD test from your Health Care Provider, we ask you to confirm certain personal information that we receive about you from your Health Care Provider, such as your name, phone number, email address, and shipping address. We also ask you to confirm certain personal information about the Minor, such as their name, sex at birth, date of birth, and home address. We ask you to confirm the accuracy of this information in order to obtain your consent to the test, to ship you the sample collection kit, and to otherwise provide you the Services.
Sample Collection Kit. If you are a Caregiver and you will provide us with the Minor’s sample without the assistance of a Health Care Provider, then we will ask you for certain information about the Minor when you send the sample, such as the Minor’s name and the date of the collection. Additionally, we collect the information generated as a result of our processing of each Minor sample. If you are a Person and you provide us with your sample, then we will ask you for certain information about you when you send the sample, such as (for example) your name, address, and date of the collection. Additionally, we collect the information generated as a result of our processing your sample.
Medical Information Request. If you are a Health Care Provider and would like to request additional information about our Services, for example to determine your eligibility to prescribe the ClearStrand™ ASD test, we may ask for certain information about you, such as your name, NPI number, email address, phone number, fax number, mailing address, the contents of your message, and your preferences for how we communicate with you.
Careers. If you decide that you wish to apply for a job with us, you may submit your contact information and your resume online. We will collect the information you choose to provide, such as your education and employment experience and any information you provide in your resume and cover letter. You may also apply through LinkedIn. If you do so, we will collect the information you make available to us on LinkedIn.
Payment Information. If you pay for the ClearStrand™ ASD or Traced™ lab test, your payment-related information, such as credit card or other financial information, is collected by our third-party payment processor on our behalf.
B. Information We Collect When You Use Our Services.
Device Information. We receive information about the device and software you use to access our Services, including IP address (which may provide us with your general location information), web browser type, operating system version, and device identifiers.
Usage Information. To help us understand how you use our Services and to help us improve them, we automatically receive information about your interactions with our Services, like the pages or other content you view, the searches you conduct, purchases you make, and the dates and times of your visits.
Information from Cookies and Other Tracking Technologies. We and our third-party partners collect information using cookies, pixel tags, SDKs, or other tracking technologies. Our third-party partners, such as analytics and advertising partners, may use these technologies to collect information about your online activities over time and across different services.
C. Information We Receive from Other Sources.
Caregiver and Minor Information. If you are a Caregiver, we may receive additional information about you or the Minor from your Health Care Provider (in the case of ClearStrand™ ASD only), for example when you are referred to our Services. This information may include:

the Caregiver’s name, phone number, email address, and shipping address;

the Minor’s name, sex at birth, date of birth, and home address;

answers to a Minor intake questionnaire you may choose to complete;

information about in-person or telehealth appointments scheduled with your Health Care Provider that may lead to the prescription of the ClearStrand-ASD lab test, and whether the Health Care Provider has communicated the lab test results to you;

clinical information, such as ASD diagnostic assessment results and diagnosis that you authorized your Health Care Provider to share with us;

and any other information provided by the Health Care Provider to us related to our Services.
How We Use the Information We Collect
We use the information we collect:

To provide, maintain, improve, and enhance our Services, including to provide the ClearStrand™ and Traced™ Tests and (in the case of ClearStrand™ ASD only) provide the results to your Health Care Provider;

To understand and analyze how you use our Services and develop new products, services, features, and functionality;

To communicate with you, provide you with updates and other information relating to our Services, provide information that you request, respond to comments and questions, and otherwise provide customer support;

For marketing and advertising purposes, such as developing and providing promotional and advertising materials that may be relevant, valuable or otherwise of interest to you;

To generate anonymized or aggregate data containing only de-identified, non-personal information that we may use for any lawful purposes, such for quality improvement, research, validation, and publications;

To find and prevent fraud and abuse, and respond to trust and safety issues that may arise;

For compliance purposes, including enforcing our Terms of Service or other legal rights, or as may be required by applicable laws and regulations or requested by any judicial process or governmental agency; and

We do not share Minors’ or Persons’ medical information with any third-party advertisers.
How We Disclose the Information We Collect
Vendors and Service Providers. We may disclose any information we receive to vendors and service providers retained in connection with the provision of our Services.
Health Care Providers. If you are a Caregiver or Minor, we may disclose information about you, such as your ClearStrand-ASD test results, to your Health Care Provider. Such disclosures are subject to our agreements with your Health Care Providers and not this Privacy Policy.
Marketing. We do not rent, sell, or share information about you with nonaffiliated companies for their direct marketing purposes, unless we have your permission.
Analytics Partners. We use analytics services such as Google Analytics to collect and process certain analytics data. These services may also collect information about your use of other websites, apps, and online resources. Advertising Partners. We work with third-party advertising partners to show you ads that we think may interest you. Some of our advertising partners are members of the Network Advertising Initiative (https://optout.networkadvertising.org) or the Digital Advertising Alliance (https://optout.aboutads.info). If you do not wish to receive personalized ads, please visit their opt-out pages to learn about how you may opt out of receiving web-based personalized ads from member companies. These opt-outs will apply only to our third-party advertising partners that are members of these organizations. These opt-outs will not apply when our partners serve ads through non-cookie-based technologies. You can access any settings offered by your mobile operating system to limit ad tracking, or you can install the AppChoices mobile app to learn more about how you may opt out of personalized ads in mobile apps.
As Required By Law and Similar Disclosures. We may access, preserve, and disclose your information if we believe doing so is required or appropriate to: (a) comply with law enforcement requests and legal process, such as a court order or subpoena; (b) respond to your requests; or (c) protect your, our, or others’ rights, property, or safety. For the avoidance of doubt, the disclosure of your information may occur if you post any objectionable content on or through the Services.

Your Choices
Marketing Communications. You can unsubscribe from our promotional emails via the link provided in the emails. Even if you opt out of receiving promotional messages from us, you will continue to receive administrative messages from us.

Our Services may contain links to other websites, products, or services that we do not own or operate. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties. Please be aware that this Privacy Policy does not apply to your activities on these third-party services or any information you disclose to these third parties. Security
We make reasonable efforts to protect your information by using physical and electronic safeguards designed to improve the security of the information we maintain. However, because no electronic transmission or storage of information can be entirely secure, we can make no guarantees as to the security or privacy of your information.
Children’s Privacy
We do not knowingly collect, maintain, or use personal information from children under 18 years of age, and no part of our Service(s) is directed to children. If you learn that a child has provided us with personal information in violation of this Privacy Policy, then you may alert us at support@linusbio.com.
International Visitors
Our Services are hosted in the United States and intended for visitors located within the United States. If you choose to use the Services from the European Union or other regions of the world with laws governing data collection and use that may differ from U.S. law, then please note that you are transferring your personal information outside of those regions to the U.S. for storage and processing. We may also transfer your data from the U.S. to other countries or regions in connection with storage and processing of data, fulfilling your requests, and operating the Services. By providing any information, including personal information, on or to the Services, you consent to such transfer, storage, and processing.

We will post any adjustments to the Privacy Policy on this page, and the revised version will be effective when it is posted.
